He is a director of Manasa Medical Centre, Bangalore. He specialises in neuropsychiatry and liaison psychiatry. He is an NHS consultant in the UK, actively involved in medical education and mental health awareness. His research interests are medically unexplained symptoms and brain injury.

Dr. M.S. Dharmendra graduated from Bangalore Medical College in 1987. He subsequently completed Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Medicine by working as a Junior Resident at NIMHANS between 1987-1989. He later worked as a Junior Psychiatrist to Dr. H S Subrahmanyam, founder of Manasa Medical Centre between 1989-90. Following eighteen months of training at Dept. of Psychiatry, Command Hospital, Bangalore, he left for UK and underwent Basic Specialist training in Psychiatry between 1992-1996 and Higher specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry and allied branches from 1996-1999. He obtained Certificate of Completion of Specialist training in UK in 1999. Earlier he had passed the Royal College of Psychiatrists Examinations in 1995 and was made member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Jan 1996.
His special interest apart from General Adult Psychiatry includes Forensic Psychiatry and substance misuse (Alcohol and Drugs) Psychiatry. He was full time Consultant Psychiatrist in UK (Gloucestershire Partnership NHS trust) from 1999 to 2005. He headed a Multi disciplinary Community mental health team.
He returned to India in September 2005 and has been the Senior lead Psychiatrist at Manasa Medical Centre a Premier Private Psychiatric and Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Bangalore. He has published papers relating to Bipolar Disorder and seasonal affective disorders in International peer reviewed journals. He has 20 years of experience in psychiatry encompassing practice in India, UK and the Armed forces.
Dr. Madhukar B R,

Graduated from Bellary Medical college subsequently did DPM from NIMHANS, University of Leeds (UK) and Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians (Ireland). Returned to India after further training in the UK.
Presently working as a full time consultant at St. Martha’s Hospital, Banglore, has been actively involved in Indian Psychiatric Society- Karnataka Branch activities, including being ex-Honorary Secretary, has been a guest speaker at various public forums, on TV and Radio.
Areas of Interest: General Adult, Old age psychiatric problems and sexual problems, Counseling/Marital, family, individual and sexual problems.
Graduated from SJJM Medical College, Davangere in the year 1982 subsequently he was the senior house officer at JJM Medical College and St Marthas Hospital in the year 1983 and 1984 respectively. In the year 1987 he completed his MD in General Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. Since 1989 till date he is attached to St Marthas Hospital, Bangalore. He is the Guide to DNB Post Graduates in General Medicine and Family Medicine at St Marthas Hospital and also DNB Programme co-ordinator, Dept of Medicine. He is the Consulting Physician at Manasa Medical Centre.

Dr. Anand H Subrhamanyam,

Alumnus of Banglore Medical College, and MS in Surgery from the massive Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. He was trained in Cardiovascular Surgery from the highly respected KEM Hospital, Mumbai and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK. He has performed over 2000 cardiac surgeries during his stint at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefield, Banaglore. His experience encompasses paediatric cases for treating congenital heart diseases. His special interest lies in beating heart (OPCAB), total arterial revascularisation and mitral valve repairs.
He is not only a Director of Manasa, involved in its organization, but also a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon along with team colleagues at BGS-Global Hospitals, Kengeri, Banaglore.

Graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and did her Post Graduation in MS (ENT) at Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences Bellary.
She worked under Dr. Sultan Pradhan in Head and Neck Surgical specialty at TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and is presently Associate Prof. of ENT at Vydehi Institute and Medical Sciences, Bangalore. Her area of interest is Micro laryngeal and otological surgeries.
Dr. Parvatha Vardhini
MA, M.Phil (M&SP), Ph.D.,
After passing B.A. degree from Bangalore University in 1979 and M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology in 1981,she pursued her M.Phil from NIMHANS in 1983 in Medical and Social Psychology. She received her PhD in Psychology in 1996.
She has nearly six years teaching experience including as lecturer for speech and hearing and as guest faculty for M.Sc., Clinical Psychology students at Bangalore University. She has been Board Member for examination of B.Sc., Psychology students at Bangalore University.
She has been involved in various research projects at NIMHANS with vast clinical experience of 24 years. She is associated with several hospital and board visitors to various institutions. Being specialized in clinical in to psychology her area of interest is in clinical Neuropsychological and Community Psychology. She heads a unit at MANASA.
She has more than 12 years experience in Clinical Psychology. Presently she is working at Manasa Medical Centre. She is involved actively in training of nursing students from various Nursing Colleges. She is pursuing her PhD at Annamalai University. Her interest lies in Psychiatric Counseling, Marital Counseling, group therapies for alcohol and their related problems.
